Common Sense's Teachings Now Being Flushed Down the Toilet
Good news for the fair sex today as a German company announces the Ladybag, a disposable pocket loo.
The gadget, which converts urine into gel, is likely to see the company flush with success - unlike the crazy horse nappies that have sent the services of Killarney's jarvies down toilet.
The powers that be decreed that the horses muck up the image of Killarney, leaving piles of manure everywhere.
So, in the name of health and safety and the environment, they want the jarvies to fit a manure catching nappy to the back of the horse.
The jarvies say it is unsafe and object but the powers that be say it works elsewhere?
Eh?
The device is known as a horse nappy and it is a big neigh neigh with the jarvies (horse carriage drivers).
No wonder Common Sense lost his brave fight for life.
Manure is good for the environment. And piles of it present job opportunities. Someone has to shovel it up. And any enterprising person would see a recycling opportunity in selling it on to gardeners who claim it's good for their roses and as a garden fertiliser.
But, no, now there are no horse drawn carriages in Killarney just like we have no pigeons in the centre of London and there are moves afoot to cull seagulls who dare to take up airspace in seaside resorts.
Maybe we should have fitted pigeons with nappies but then that wouldn't have satisfied the anti-pigeon brigade either. For now they pick on seagulls who dare to invade airspace at seaside resorts and make too much noise.
Just where is all this environmental nonsense going to end. Nappies for cats who are always doing the dirty in gardens?
Or dog nappies as we've banned plastic bags yet are still promoting plastic doggie pooh bags?
I can't wait to see where we're going with this.
Didn't common sense say not to fix what wasn't broken? It seems the late Common Sense's teachings are just being flushed down the toilet.
We have a wonderful, beautiful environment that nature has provided and handles better than man ever could.
For those who would hate to live in a man-made clinical environment and believe in the motto of live and let live, here's a heartwarming little video that I found
