Sad Loss of Common Sense
Another day, and more madness.
It's become evident that our bankers can't do their sums and, before anyone defends the education system, look at the latest news from the British educational sphere. The new Diploma in the UK, hailed as THE qualification to have, has a two-thirds failure rate. Grammar and spelling, we are told, had a lot to do with it.
But the youngsters aren't to blame, it has been stated. The standard of education, needed to attain the qualification, particularly in literacy, is too high!?
This is an example of the insidious cancer that put an end to poor old Common Sense. Could it not be that the standard of education, especially in the three Rs in the UK, is too low?
Who am I to criticise? I'm just someone who depends on employees to be able to do a job even when faced with an increasing number of applicants who are personable but have no useable skills. Young adults who cold call prospects and tell them they are not trying to sell them anything?! They see nothing wrong in just lying to potential customers while expecting to foster a great business relationship with them.
It's no different to many of the ads you see on the internet. They say they're not trying to sell you anything and they're in business.
Now poor old Common Sense would have asked how they were staying in business or sustaining a business if they're not making any money from you. Get rich quick schemes, personal 24-hour ATMs.....you name it, it's out there. Books telling you how not to get scammed - if you haven't figured that out already. Even if you become an affiliate of some brilliant scheme or other, you can't be sure that you'll get your commissions which is why a company like viralurl is such a success. It allows you to protect your affiliate links so nobody can change them and rob you of any commissions you may have earned. http://vur.me/devprint
Oh, they all promise you the world in the form of a jet-set lifestyle and more money than you need but it reminds me of the job applicants who see nothing wrong in cold calling customers and telling them they're not trying to sell them anything.
The really sad part is the immorality of it all. People looking to the internet have either been using the web for years and are net savvy or they are looking to earn a crust either because they don't have enough money or they like making money. The net savvy ones know what to look out for because they've probably been stung a few times before starting to earn any money but the newbies are vulnerable. Just how vulnerable is anybody's guess though Common Sense dictates that anyone looking to earn more money on the internet is doing so because they don't have enough. And when you're struggling to pay the bills you'll take any carrot that is handed out to you, many times hoping beyond hope that your gamble will pay off.
Rags to riches stories are ten a penny on the internet. Just how many are true is another question altogether. It's doubtful that the people believing the Get Rich By Doing Nothing ads have attained that UK Diploma that is now to be dumbed down? And there's no doubt that the people promoting such ads would qualify for admittance to the school that wants the Diploma dumbed down. The lower the standards of education, the bigger the population that can be scammed.
There is huge earning potential on the internet but remember Common Sense. There's no such thing as a free lunch and any business involves work of some sort. It may be a four-letter old-fashioned word but it's what success depends on, together with luck.
And if you believe if luck then why not try and cash in on the lottery. There's a business that won't suffer from any recession. Try your luck at winning a grand on me - for free, no catch.
