Common Sense Junior is in grave danger of falling victim to the insidious cancer that killed his dad. The National Union of Journalists (NUJ) agrees that the British National Party should not be invited onto the BBC's Question Time programme. The very union that represents freedom of speech - or should do - is now backing moves to distort the public view of the political landcape in the UK. It's no wonder we're presented with one-sided propaganda when the very union that is supposed to represent journalists and support them in the jobs they do, is backing any call to prevent the public from being given the full picture. That picture, as far as the face of politics in this country is concerned, includes the British National Party whether we like it or not. Journalists are not social workers. They are not an arm of the police. The are not propagandists. They are watchdogs and report and comment faithfully on what is happening in the world. I know because I am one. And I'm disgusted with what was my union. I don't like the British National Party or what it stands for. Just like I haven't liked or agreed with many of the causes, situations, political views I've been called upon to write about. But even if it reduced me to tears, including views and politics I detested, I DID MY JOB. Sadly, I am a dinosaur although I'm not alone. There are many of us left and I'd imagine we're all appalled at this latest announement of our union at the Trades Union Conferene in Liverpool. As far as I'm concerned, we in this country - and probably all over the world - are being given a one-sided, selective sliver of news that is being dictated, not by the people but by political parties. For that is what this is about. It's one political party, or several, standing up against another one because they don't like its policies or what it stands for. But people have voted for the party that the NUJ now agrees should be sent sent packing into the shadows of no man's land, never to be heard of again. So who does the NUJ now represent? Its membership which used to represent the public or political parties who dictate what should be newsworthy and what shouldn't. This is the sort of cancer that killed Common Sense. An insiduous, dangerous disease that spreads from controlling what people can and cannot say to controlling what they can and cannot be told of. I'm still aiming for my island home, the Common Sense Republic, and raising funds for my business to get there. I've joined a like-minded band of people all raising business capital the same way, without banks, without loans and without incurring any debt. If you'd like to join us then please visit http://virl.ws/s/dipple. It'll cost you just under a tenner GBP but we're in business and we want to ensure we only get members who are serious about raising dosh. If that doesn't appeal to you, however, and you want a business opportunity that grows faster in a recession then take a look at this http://vurl.bz/s/0MO And if you've really lost the will to live in this crazy world, then try Lady Luck at http://www.bobbydog.ws/aliencomp.htm And good luck.

A ban on advertising for alcohol in the UK is now on the cards. Parents may face a fine for driving their kids' pals around if they haven't been vetted. And villagers in North East India have picked up shovels and spades to build their own road because they're fed up with two decades of burueacratic delays. Common Sense Junior really has his work cut out. Our freedoms are going down the plug hole and no-one seems to be bothered. Who are these faceless people who decree crazy rules and regulations ... It's the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year in the new millenium. I must have blinked and missed the end of the world. Let's hope this new world that I somehow missed the start of is better than our old one. Maybe there'll even be room for little Common Sense who was orphaned when his dad died. The youngster has been waiting in the wings for the end of the old world so he can follow in the footsteps of his late great dad. Let's hope the cancer that eventually killed his late great dad ... Big Brother, Terry Wogan, US Open, Strictly Come Dancing. That's what's in Yahoo's Top 10 Searches today. No search for banker bailouts or world economy or anything that will really affect our lives and the future of our children. The late Commons Sense always said that Nero fiddled while Rome burned. We've passively accepted bureaucratic dream schemes to coin in extra cash from us every which way possible. From needing a green report to sell our house or to paying Stamp Duty on house purcha... Beware of the Kids was a notice allegedly stuck on a family's house in the UK.
For a 10-year old and an 11-year had allegedly terrorised their neighbours for years before allegedly progressing to attempted child murder.
And we're surprised?
We have the brass neck to hold up our hands in horror and say we're shocked?
How dare we!
The late Common Sense told us that if you give someone an inch, they will take a mile. It's human nature. In fact, it's in the nature of all living creatures.
So are t... Continue reading...

Good news for the fair sex today as a German company announces the Ladybag, a disposable pocket loo. The gadget, which converts urine into gel, is likely to see the company flush with success - unlike the crazy horse nappies that have sent the services of Killarney's jarvies down toilet. The powers that be decreed that the horses muck up the image of Killarney, leaving piles of manure everywhere. So, in the name of health and safety and the environment, they want the jarvies to fit a manure catc... Continue reading...

Just stop the world and let me off.
Common Sense must be turning in his grave.
The powers that be have just plunged us all into darkness by banning the good old-fashioned light bulbs in the UK. The powers that be would have us believe that changing our light bulbs to energy saving ones will save the planet. As if a lightbulb is going to make any difference when we've got governments and military making test atomic explosions at sea and scientists using the earth (and us) as a laboratory. ... Another day, and more madness.
It's become evident that our bankers can't do their sums and, before anyone defends the education system, look at the latest news from the British educational sphere. The new Diploma in the UK, hailed as THE qualification to have, has a two-thirds failure rate. Grammar and spelling, we are told, had a lot to do with it. But the youngsters aren't to blame, it has been stated. The standard of education, needed to attain the qualification, particularly in lite... Continue reading...

Common Sense died today. He finally succumbed to the cancer that had been threatening his life for more than a decade. And he will be sadly missed worldwide by those who lived by his teachings. The death comes as a shock to many who had expected death from one of his frequent flights out of the window. In the past few years he was in and out of the window with the frequency of a fiddler's elbow. Eventually, few of us noticed the duration of the flights as the cancer took hold and the short-haul j... Continue reading...
